I am a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, a charitable organization consisting of Catholic men of faith and action. The Knights are organized locally in councils which are affiliated with a local Catholic parish. I happen to be a member of Council 5207 in Knoxville, The Sacred Heart Cathedral Council.

Our council is blessed to have as its chaplain His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Most of you reading this know that Cardinal Rigali has taken up his residence in Knoxville where he remains very active in his priestly ministry.

As our chaplain, Cardinal Rigali shares a reflection with us from time to time at our monthly meeting. The following recording captures his thoughts about the Feast of the Ascension, which we celebrate today in most of the United States. I captured it spontaneously on my iPhone, so I apologize in advance for the audio quality.
